This role resides in the Retirement Solutions business within the Client Solutions Group of Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM). Retirement Solutions includes our Defined Contribution business, our Retirement Intermediary and Insurance business and a dedicated large market retirement distribution effort. Within Defined Contribution, our primary offerings span investment products across the asset class spectrum (DCIO), advisory/OCIO services and digital advice/managed accounts. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to build and manage a specialized team to focus on UK/EMEA Defined Contribution and Retirement, within Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s global Retirement franchise.

Based within the Client Solutions Group, this individual will identify, develop, and maintain relationships with large plan sponsors, represent our Defined Contribution services, and partner with the Institutional, Third Party Wealth, Insurance, and Consultant Relations teams to deliver the best of the firm to our clients.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in developing go-to market strategies and products in the UK/EMEA Defined Contribution markets, with a holistic understanding of the global market as well. This individual is a strong communicator, effective presenter, self-motivated and well-versed in a wide array of investment products and services relevant to institutional, retail, and insurance clients. We are seeking someone experienced in building and managing a franchise and team within a highly collaborative and client-focused organisation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR: How You Will Fulfill Your Potential •Develop and lead the UK/EMEA Defined Contribution and Retirement Strategy within the global Retirement framework to grow GSAM’s competitive offerings and market

share in the region •Build and maintain trusted, impactful partnerships across Institutional, Third Party Wealth, Insurance, and Consultant Relations internal stakeholders and serve as a critical

resource and subject matter expert for distribution channels to deliver on client needs •Lead and establish relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers at partner firms to drive business development efforts; including senior leadership, relationship

management and product teams •Identify opportunities and produce thought leadership to build and maintain a high profile for GSAM amongst the dominant decision makers in the market, including

government and regulatory stakeholders, in partnership with Marketing and Government Affairs teams •Utilise institutional knowledge of structural operating requirements of the UK/EMEA markets to identify product gaps and development requirements •Partner with product development teams to develop new offerings to accelerate sales of Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs and Private Alternatives •Provide insights to leadership on competitive landscape, product positioning, and client priorities to develop growth strategy •Serve as a culture carrier within the team and broader business, developing career paths and providing guidance to junior team members •Communicate complexity in a concise manner and position Goldman Sachs’ value proposition as well as investment philosophy, process, product differentiation and

competitive analyses in group presentations, public seminars and one-on-one presentations •Analyze and monitor key performance metrics including AUM growth, revenue generation and client satisfaction against weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly targets Basic Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years leadership experience in relevant area(s) of the Defined Contribution and/or asset management industries •Demonstrated success in building and cultivating relationships with Institutional, Insurance, and Third Party Wealth clients across a diversified product set in UK/EMEA •

Strong work ethic, highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial •Exceptional presentation and communication skills •Strong territory management and client development skills, including ability to cold call successfully •Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build the trust and confidence of clients, ability to strengthen client relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, ability to

work well with others internally to accomplish client objectives. •Ability to successfully engage and communicate with senior leadership •Strong knowledge of DC services and relevant investment products across all major asset classes •Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team-orientated global structure •Ability to succeed in a dynamic, client-focused environment •Ability to maintain a consistent travel schedule, and manage to a travel budget
