We are looking for an Assistant Assurance Manager to join our team to assist with the provision of our assurance service. What does this role involve?

As an Assistant Assurance Manager, you will form part of the supervision team, assisting managers and directors to provide assurance and commercial advice to clients, while supporting your teams in the delivery of their work to ensure operational objectives are met. Key accountabilities

You will manage and develop team members in line with our culture and values. You will conduct performance reviews and set objectives through regular one-to-one check-ins, providing timely feedback and setting clear development plans. Manage a client portfolio, using your knowledge and skills to add essential value to the offering. Responsibility for the overall quality of individual client assignments and production of a complete product with due regard to budget. This will require direct completion of audit planning, fieldwork, and collaboration with your team(s). Work with other members of your service line to scope out client requirements and ensure that assignments are carried out in a timely manner and within specified budget(s). Proactively liaise with relevant members of the management team (e.g., directors) on individual clients, ensuring that they are well informed and receive regular updates on progress, along with identifying and escalating any issues as necessary. Build a network of potential new clients in order to identify new business opportunities (e.g., active participation within funnels or similar marketing initiatives), creating a vibrant pipeline of new opportunities through proactive outreach, i.e., attendance at networking events/industry-specific events and developing internal relationships with other service line managers across the business. You will actively participate in pitching for new business opportunities and developing tender documents. Skills and experience

Joining us as an Assistant Assurance Manager, you will be fully ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience with five years in general practice. You will be a good people manager who is confident in developing relationships with new and existing clients, helping to identify opportunities, and pitch for new business. It would be advantageous to have the following skills, but we welcome all applicants to join our talented team: Confident and effective communicator Proactive budget and fee management Effective management of client lock up – budgets/billing/debtors and good time management of work in progress Specialisation in a sector and developed key industry knowledge (optional) Key interfaces

In this role, you will be guided by managers, associates, and directors, as well as managing other team members. You will also be extended to develop client relationships and proactively maintain your professional network. Operating environment and context of the role
