We are currently working with qualified Child Development Practitioners to help them find new and exciting opportunities with the Trusts here in Northern Ireland. As such, we are now recruiting on behalf of the Belfast Trust for a Band 5 Assistant Child Development Practitioner to work within the Child and Adolescent Autism Service (CAAS) in the Belfast Trust! The Child and Adolescent Autism Service (CAAS) is a specialist multidisciplinary service dedicated to the assessment and intervention of social, emotional and developmental difficulties including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The post holder will provide a support service for families with children referred to the service - providing therapeutic telephone calls, psychological assessment and signposting, training with parents and other services, and psychological interventions (group and individual therapeutic support) under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. Full time & Part time hours will be considered for a duration of one year. Salary starting from £16.28 for the first 12 weeks and increasing to £16.94 thereafter for PAYE. Minimum Requirements:

A third level or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline to include teaching, social work, psychology, speech & language or occupational therapy. One year of paid experience working with children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder in the UK. Experience of delivering training to parents and/or health professionals (Psycho-educational programmes). Hold a current full driving licence valid in the UK with access to a car.
