The Role You will lead a large team to deliver a safe, customer centric, high quality, value for money, property repairs, improvements, projects, and maintenance services. The delivery will be through a mixture of an in-house workforce and sub-contractors and main contractors and may also use external consultants to assist. You will need to ensure that all works are undertaken in a competent and safe manner with our customers at the center of everything we do and ensure that SNG meets its commitments, monitors its performance, and evidences its delivery relating to all its regulatory and legislative obligations. Responsibilities include: Management of significant, complex annual budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures, levels of authority and audit requirements. Delivering improvement programmes and projects to agreed performance and financial standards and targets, ensuring customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness and value for money. Ensuring all resource services, including suppliers, are effectively deployed to maximise productivity and customer benefit. Establish and maintain own effectiveness by developing working relationships with all stakeholders, ensuring integrated contribution to SNG's corporate objectives whilst observing SNG's policies, procedures, and ways of working. Developing and regularly reviewing stakeholder management plans and taking the lead in pro-actively engaging and overseeing relationships with key stakeholders and partnering agencies. Leading on all strategic and operational elements of service delivery across localities both residential and non-residential portfolio. Working collaboratively with cross-functional senior leaders to deliver the Corporate Plan, ensuring key projects and activities are achieved in a timely and cost-effective way, delivering the agreed business outcomes and benefits. Driving business effectiveness, creative and innovative solutions to improve customer service and efficiency of delivery whilst ensuring procedures are followed and compliance and regulatory standards are met. What we're looking for: Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary customer focused team in a large and complex maintenance and engineering organisation. Excellent knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a customer focused environment. Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks. Able to analyse business information and formulate metrics that deliver permanent or consolidated progress. Exhibit strategic thinking, commercial acumen and values driven behaviours to fulfil our ambitious corporate plan and customer impact, asset, and home & place strategies at both a locality and ‘SNG' level. Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation. Have a track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment. Knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation with focus on compliance within all activities undertaken by the teams. Evidence of excellent customer service achievements in a complex delivery environment.
