Prospero Teaching are seeking a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama to join a school in Manchester as soon as possible on a full time, temp to perm basis.

This role will suit middle leaders or someone who is ready to become second in department who are looking to enhance their experience, as well as outstanding, ambitious teachers who are ready for their first middle leadership post.

The pupils are proud of their school and show kindness and respect to each other, with a strong understanding that the staff do care about their well being. The leadership has high expectations which are met by the students, resulting in a calm and orderly school environment. Classroom routines are well established and backed up by a strong reward system that the students enjoy. There is also a strong community feeling in the school: with outreach to a local care home, donation of money to local projects and charity further afield.

As an experienced teacher, you will need to develop an exciting curriculum that suits every type of learner and have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of our young people. The successful candidate will be a committed team player with excellent organisational and motivational skills. The nature of the subject you may have to lead experienced Religious Education Teachers and inexperienced teachers. The successful candidate will be able to provide exceptional support to students and staff, demonstrate good behaviour and classroom assistance/management. The students will learn about catholic Christianity, other world religions and secular views, which helps them adapt and grow their own personal beliefs.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Degree in Religious Studies or related field QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent Previous experience teaching English in a UK school The ability to teach to GCSE standard. The ability to coach and motivate colleagues to achieve individual and collective targets. Experience of sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement. Experience of innovation and creativity to engage, enthuse and progress learners.
