As Assistant Director of Finance, you’ll lead a respected team of professionals across finance, procurement, and insurance services. You’ll serve as Deputy Section 151 Officer with oversight over our Housing Revenue Account, General Fund, and a number of our commercial ventures. The role also offers the opportunity to have direct involvement in one of our joint ventures and development partnerships.
Working closely with our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll play a major role in supporting the Council’s priorities with the Finance Team, ensuring we continue to be financially resilient as a Council while being solution-focused to make the most of the resources we have.
You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking leadership team in an organisation that gets things done. Our track record of securing government funding (including £37.5 Million of Towns Fund) and delivering major projects speaks for itself.
We’re looking for a technically strong finance professional with local government experience who brings natural curiosity and creative problem-solving skills.
