We are recruiting an Assistant Ecological Consultant to deliver our ecological services under the supervision of our Senior and Principal Ecological Consultants. This will include the provision of specialist planning advice to other local authorities, as well as involvement in ecological assessment, species survey, and mitigation projects. The role requires a qualified ecologist with some experience of survey methods and reporting, and the ability to reliably deliver on a commercial basis. You will have knowledge of legislation, policy, standards, and guidance with good communication skills and the ability to manage your own time effectively. We expect an understanding of the importance of health and safety measures and of wellbeing, and a collaborative approach. This role provides a very unusual mix of Local Authority planning support and project-based field surveys, assessment, and reporting. This broad remit gives an excellent grounding for early career ecologists in a supportive environment where our people are truly valued and encouraged to grow. You will be expected to become involved in all aspects of our ecology work and will be given the support and development to find your strengths. We hope you will progress your career with us, and your welfare will always be important to us. For a job profile and to apply, click here.
