As an Assistant Ecologist/Ecologist specialising in Botany, you will play a vital role in developing and delivering vegetation surveys and botanical assessments across a diverse range of projects. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of ecologists, planners, and environmental specialists, you will contribute to high-quality habitat assessments, restoration plans, and biodiversity strategies. Key Responsibilities:
Conducting detailed botanical surveys and habitat condition assessments. Assisting in the preparation of biodiversity management plans and botanical inventories. Supporting the integration of botanical expertise into biodiversity net gain (BNG). Requirements:
Demonstrable experience in botany and habitat assessment (at least 2 seasons' experience). Knowledge of botanical surveying techniques and plant identification. Familiarity with biodiversity assessment tools (e.g., DEFRA Metric) and GIS systems. Full UK Driving Licence. Full right to work in the UK. Membership with CIEEM.
