On behalf of our client, Nrl Recruitment are looking for an Assistant Engineer for work in the Canfield area.

Start:

asap Hybrid Policy:

3 days in the office / 2 days at home – however this may change depending on work requirements.

Scope of Work - Exterior Trim + Lighting:

Development from initial concept through to mass manufacture of parts made by suppliers and parts made in house.

Deliverables / KPIs / SLAs:

Working with the support of your senior engineer and the wider team you will be: Developing parts to meet quality/cost/delivery targets. Problem solving concerns for build & test failures (digital and physical). Managing supplier and in house parts. Working with styling team to feedback during digital development phase.

Assumptions:

Regular trips to visit the manufacturing site in Sunderland. Supplier visits across Europe. On occasion Japan depending on project / schedule / capability.

Qualifications, Skills, Training Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Product/Industrial Design or equivalent. Familiar with CAD Software for example Siemens NX. Some experience in a professional engineering design role / automotive industry would be an advantage.
