Assistant Finance Manager Annual Salary: £45,000 - £51,000 Location: Hook, RG27 Job Type: Full-time Join our team and contribute to our mission as an Assistant Finance Manager. This role is crucial in supporting the Finance Manager with the preparation of monthly management accounts and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Ideal for a process-driven individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for financial management. Day-to-day of the role: Manage the consolidated monthly close process, ensuring all sub-ledgers, interfaces, and accounting judgements are cleanly closed with the general ledger by WD3. Prepare and process month-end journals and manage monthly management reporting, including variance commentary for the Business Unit (BU). Review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate analysis and timely resolution of discrepancies. Produce management and statutory accounts for the NGP Joint Venture, including handling VAT/Tax and company house returns. Engage actively in the annual budgeting and planning process, explaining key budget outputs to non-financial audiences within the BU. Ensure compliance with Finance Manual procedures and support the Finance Manager during external and internal audits. Collaborate with BU teams to ensure adherence to financial policies and statutory requirements. Assist in preparing financial information and contribute to the Finance Leadership team to manage and motivate the Finance team effectively. Required Skills & Qualifications: Part Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, with experience in financial and management accounting. Strong working knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Proven ability to manage time and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.
