Equifind is partnering with one of the most exciting fund launches in recent years to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller for their London office. This newly created position will require office-attendance 4 days pw. This global investment manager has rapidly grown in just a few years, amassing several billion in assets under management across a diverse range of alternative assets, instruments, and equities. The leadership team comprises former MDs from various tier-1 fund managers and investment banks. They are now seeking an Assistant Financial Controller to join their London-based finance team, with oversight of a junior accountant. In this role, you will collaborate closely with their international offices in NYC, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Key Responsibilities: Review management accounting reports prepared by external providers. Supervise the accounts payable function for the management entities including guidance to the junior member of staff. Manage the reimbursement process for employee expenses. Handle cash flow and treasury operations. Support both internal and external audit activities. Assist with regulatory filings and compliance reporting. Collaborate with the Head of Tax on corporate tax and other tax-related obligations. Monitor fund expense payments and accounts payable processes. Package and Benefits: Discretionary annual bonus. Application Requirements: Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally from a similar business or a top accounting firm. Advanced-level Excel skills and an interest in learning SQL, VBA or Python. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent report writing and able to confidently liaise with a range of stakeholders. Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills. Seniority level
