Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to be working with a leading multi-branch Builder' Merchant seeking an Assistant General Manager. This vital role supports the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch.

7:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday Location:

Outskirts of Uckfield

Responsibilities: The Assistant General Manager will be responsible for helping to manage day-to-day operations, product inventory, and ensuring effective customer service. This role would suit an existing Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager from within the Builders Merchant sector. This position is key to the performance of the branch.

What you will bring to the role: This is a very hands-on role so a willingness to get involved is essential. This position is key to the performance of the branch and the seamless running of the day-to-day operations. It requires someone who can supervise a team of engaged colleagues to continually improve the customer experience and branch performance.

Skills Required: Strong leadership and communication skills Experience in managing staff and overseeing daily operations Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure Previous experience in the construction or building materials industry is essential Forklift experience is desirable as the role could involve some loading/unloading of customer and supplier vehicles Strong administration and organisational abilities
