The successful candidate will: Ensure that all members of the school community keep a sharp focus on the behaviour and attendance of identified groups of students. Monitor and implement strategies where appropriate to raise the attendance of students across the academy. Celebrate and reward students who make positive progress. Develop and enhance the practice of others. Strategically lead and oversee Refocus, ensuring its continued growth. 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent -
Essential Skills
Experience/Knowledge: Knowledge of the issues related to working with children who reside in areas of high socio-economic deprivation -
Essential Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues and procedures -
Essential Understanding of ‘Early Help’ strategy, policies, and protocols -
Essential Personal Attributes: Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, parents, and students -
Desirable Experience of dealing with sensitive and confidential student information -
Desirable Experience of supporting the social, emotional, and educational development of students -
Desirable Ability to manage pupil behaviour and create a safe environment -
Desirable Pastoral experience -
Essential Ability to encourage students in developing self-esteem and respect for others -
Essential Ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and work under pressure -
