The Impact you will have in this role is: The Assistant Management Accountant role has been designed to grow and develop finance talent for the future. We are looking for ambitious individuals with excellent problem-solving skills. They are responsible for supporting the timely production of accurate monthly management accounts. In addition, this role will also help support and deliver process improvements in management accounting and related finance processes. As our future Assistant Management Accountant, you will: Monthly management accounts process is followed and prepared in line with agreed deadlines. Checks and balances are completed to ensure that the accounts are robust and accurate. Manual journal entries are inputted including preparation of accruals and prepayments. Production of reports for budget holders is supported. Variance analysis is prepared against budget with supporting commentary. Balance sheet reconciliations are maintained to the agreed timetable and Management Accountants are worked with to investigate all discrepancies and perform corrective actions where necessary. Management Accountants and Group Finance Manager are supported with Adhoc analysis. The annual audit process is assisted with and data for the statutory accounts and other external filings is compiled for the group. Owning processes for rebates and royalties’ accruals, ensuring accruals are accurate and timely. Supporting Management Accountant on Retail including ownership of salary accruals. Producing turnover certificates for retail stores. Future scope to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
