The post holder will operate as part of a small team providing a comprehensive, professional and effective financial management support service to a number of clinical/corporate teams. Main duties of the job: This role provides financial information and forecasts, guidance and advice to senior managers and budget holders and will require being closely involved with the existing and planned financial activities in the Trust. To provide an effective, high quality Financial Management service to managers and clinicians. Provide monthly financial management reports, provide support and advice to managers, undertake financial analyses and investigate queries. Ensure that all relevant financial procedures and guidance are adhered to. Person specification: Qualifications and professional training

Essential criteria AAT Qualified or Equivalent experience to degree level 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above including English and Mathematics ECDL or equivalent proficiency Desirable criteria Studying CCAB Experience and knowledge

Essential criteria Significant experience of working with a finance team Experience and knowledge of finance computer systems and ledgers, coding structures, SFI procedures Track record of performance in delivering against tight deadlines Knowledge and experience of the annual accounts process Desirable criteria Knowledge and understanding of NHS Finance Skills and attributes

Essential criteria Ability to work accurately under pressure Ability to work using own initiative Ability to prioritise demands from different sources Ability to communicate across a wide range of professional groups and influence others effectively Ability to capture, manipulate, analyse and interpret financial and non-financial data from a range of sources Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise as well as work under pressure with competing demands to meet deadlines Ability to challenge managers in a positive and effective way Developed IT skills in Excel and finance systems for accurate processing Desirable criteria Demonstrate willingness to share knowledge and experience with the team Personal qualities
