Duties:
Bank Reconciliation: Conduct daily/monthly bank reconciliations ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. Cashflow Management / Forecasting: Assist with actual cashflow updates and contribute to cashflow projections. Invoicing & Sales Management: Prepare and issue sales invoices promptly and accurately. Debtor Management & Credit Control: Monitor outstanding debts and ensure timely collection of payments. Internal Controls: Enhance internal controls around sales and invoicing for accuracy and timeliness. Management Accounts & Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. Accounting Software & Journals: Utilise Xero for posting journals and maintaining financial records. Business Analysis & Reporting: Assist with ad-hoc business analysis projects, providing insights to improve financial performance.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts. Experience with Xero, GoCardless, and Dext (or similar software) is a plus. Proficiency in bank reconciliation, invoicing, debtor management, and credit control. Analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively. Good organisational and communication skills.
