Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties is partnering with an established accounting firm based in Corby to find a skilled Assistant Management Accountant.
Role
In this position, you will be responsible for producing management information for a portfolio of clients, working closely with the Team Manager to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of accurate and timely periodic management reports, including profit and loss, balance sheet, performance analysis, cashflow forecasts, and budget analysis. Reviewing financial data and completing balance sheet reconciliations to ensure data validity and accuracy. Supporting the development of budgets and forecasts, ensuring up-to-date and high-quality information is available to clients. Providing financial expertise to team members to support accurate production of financial data. Communicating with clients about their business performance, offering financial insights and explanations from management accounting packs, cashflow forecasts, and other reports. Providing ad-hoc reports, data, and insights to clients, enabling informed business decisions. Supporting the year-end process by reviewing data and providing relevant information to the compliance team and external auditors. Building and nurturing strong client relationships.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Ability to manage multiple client accounts with potentially conflicting deadlines. Ability to read and interpret profit & loss and balance sheet reports. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software. AAT qualified, studying for ACCA, CIMA, or qualified by experience. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Experience using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Jet Reports, Cosmos, Power BI).
Salary & Benefits:
Salary up to £35,000 per annum Hybrid working model
