Your new company

I am currently working on behalf of an established retail business based in the Greater Belfast area to recruit an Assistant Accountant to add to their team. This is a newly established position that has been created due to recent growth.

Your new role Working within the existing team, you will be responsible for a range of duties to include: Assist with the preparation of key outputs Support the Management Accountant in all areas as appropriate Any other reports/information as requested by senior management Assist with ensuring the monthly management accounts are prepared and reviewed on a timely basis. Assist with ensuring that accurate and complete balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a quarterly basis in accordance with both the Financial Controller's and Group requirements Support the forecasting and budgeting processes through the preparation of schedules for the Management Accountant. What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position you should possess degree level education or AAT/Part Qualified. Applicants should possess a commitment to join one of the professional bodies within 3 months of joining and undertake to complete a minimum of 2 exams per year (an educational support package is provided as part of the role) and have a minimum of 6 months experience in a finance environment to include working knowledge of accounting systems.
