ROLE OVERVIEW The assistant management accountant reports into the Head of Finance, is an integral position within Mollie's finance team. The role is responsible for accounts receivable, weekly trade results and supporting the Management Accountant in audit, P&Ls, balance sheet and VAT returns. Responsibilities include: Raise sales invoices and maintain sales ledger Issue credit account statements and complete account reconciliations Complete credit checks on new customer accounts Update the Sales team on weekly payments made to commission partners Prepare weekly trade updates and send out to the wider business Prepare weekly cash reconciliations Assist the Management Accountant with all month end tasks including journal posting, producing P&Ls and analysing variances Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations with the preparation of supporting schedules Support with preparation of quarterly VAT returns Support in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts Improve weekly and monthly reporting to allow timely analysis of site performance Assist with the automation of processes to streamline the finance function Assist with audit queries and preparing relevant supporting information as requested Support the Management Accountant and Head of Finance with ad-hoc reporting requests EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum AAT level qualified, or similar.
