Your new role Working for the Finance Manager and wider team, you will be supporting the management accounts team from assisting with budgets, forecasts and year-ends to investigating variances and looking to improve systems. For the month-end process, you will ensure the balance sheet reconciliations are completed along with stock reconciliation, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, supporting the ledger processes and various management reporting. You will also liaise with regional managers on individual profit & loss reports highlighting any focus points and resolving queries. What you'll need to succeed You will already have gained a strong start to your accountancy career and have gained some exposure to the month-end routines, e.g. journals, accruals/prepayments etc. With strong IT skills, including Excel, you will offer a confident and motivated approach with a key eye for detail and to challenge the data and reporting where appropriate. It is anticipated you will be part-way through your professional qualification (CIMA or ACCA) with the ability to effectively communicate in order to collaborate with non-financial contacts and stakeholders, both internally and externally.
