An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Patient Pathway Coordinator in the Psychology Department at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to a busy team of clinical psychologists. We are looking for an independent, enthusiastic and well-organised person to join our busy team. You must have strong interpersonal and IT skills. The successful candidate will be based within a small team, providing support for each other and ensuring continuation of service at all times. Duties will include: typing of correspondence, dealing with patient queries, recording and validating activity on PAS systems, and liaising with internal stakeholders. Good typing skills/audio essential and medical terminology an advantage. Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and organising skills, attention to detail, IT skills and ability to communicate across all levels. The successful candidate will be providing support to the clinical teams and ensuring continuation of service at all times. Person specification

Qualifications

Educated to G.C.S.E level with grades A-C in Mathematics, English and ICT or equivalent Strong IT skills in relation to Microsoft packages including word/excel and Microsoft to NVQ level 3 or RSA III or equivalent experience. Interest in continuing professional development Experience

Demonstrable customer service experience Honesty, flexibility, reliability and adaptability Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels Knowledge of administrative procedures, acquired through training and/or previous experience of working in an administrative environment. Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills Skills and Abilities

Experience of planning, organising and prioritising workloads to meet deadlines and service requirements Good organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail Willing to learn new skills and undertake additional training as necessary for the post Knowledge
