This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team working with Sharon Fournier-Shelton in the Portfolio Management, Investments Directorate. As an Assistant Portfolio Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing our Lending Alliances within a national organisation dedicated to social purpose. Based in the North of England, you’ll be part of our seasoned real estate finance team, overseeing the Agency’s National Lending Alliances portfolio. This involves providing financing to developers to create high-quality homes in well-designed communities. Your role will be crucial in managing and administering these Lending Alliances. Our Portfolio Management team is focused on delivery and committed to providing first-class customer service. We address issues informally whenever possible, using innovative and creative approaches to solve challenges. Sharon values collaboration and diversity in experience and perspective, fostering effective decision-making and problem-solving within her team. You’ll work with key stakeholders and advisers as part of a professional real estate finance team, ensuring effective loan portfolio management and resolving issues efficiently. Your primary role will be to support the Senior Portfolio Manager(s) in managing the lending alliances, ensuring first-class customer service to our stakeholders in a timely manner. You will be adept at multitasking and constantly seeking ways to improve and innovate. You’ll also assist the wider Portfolio Management team with residential development issues, aiming for the efficient delivery of homes. Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with strong verbal and written communication skills, is essential. Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a front-line team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun, and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade. As an experienced real estate professional, you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
