An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Assistant Practitioner to join our nursing team at the Grange University Hospital. The post holder will provide high-level support in the provision of quality interventions to meet the needs of patients requiring nursing and clinical care as an Assistant Practitioner.

Responsibilities include: Providing clinical support to implement planned care to patients under the indirect supervision of Registered Nurses. Working within a designated team but with the ability to work independently as required. Demonstrating an awareness of the limits of personal professional practice and knowledge and recognizing when to seek appropriate support/advice.

This is an innovative role which will be a key part of the ward team providing essential support to Registered Nurses and delivering direct patient care through enhanced skills. You will also supervise HCSWs at Band 2.

The candidate will have experience in caring for adults in a health-based environment, ideally in a hospital setting.

Candidates must possess an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification to diploma level

PLUS

short courses or relevant experience to diploma level.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
