What Are We Looking For? Our Asset Management and Technical Services team is looking for an Assistant Project Manager based in Kent to join us on a permanent basis. As well as being responsible for assisting in the delivery of projects, you will also play a key role in supporting the management and performance of projects through the full lifecycle. You will also be given the opportunity to support in the design and delivery of estimates for market leading projects to provide solutions to market challenges with the support of industry leading knowledge and skillsets within the business. Some of Your Key Duties Include: Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation. Meeting with clients to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required. Instructing, directing, controlling, and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity, and safety. Preparation of work scope /estimates. Preparation of design documents. Overseeing design aspects of projects from inception to implementation. Ensure compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards. Assemble contract works information documents. Consider project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters. Implement project change control and programme requirements. Mentoring the next generation of aspiring engineers. What Do You Need? Degree/HND/HNC in an Engineering discipline. Proven track record in a Technical, Engineering or Supervisory role with project management capability. Knowledge of applicable Design Codes, Technical Standards, Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice. Good technical background with good knowledge of own specialist discipline and knowledge of other engineering and trade disciplines. Ability and drive to work in a fast-paced and results driven business. Demonstrable track record of experience in an engineering role. Good verbal and written communication skills with an ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions. Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Full UK Driving Licence. Who Are We?
