Job Title: Assistant Project Manager Location: Leeds but Nationwide (Travel Required) Salary: £40,000 + Full Training & Career Progression Job Overview: We are recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic and growing retail construction company. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager or someone with construction experience looking to take the next step in their career into project management. The role involves working on projects nationwide, so flexibility to travel and a full driving licence are essential. The client offers a supportive environment with structured training and qualifications to help you grow into a fully-fledged Project Manager. They have a proven track record of progressing staff through the ranks and delivering on career development promises. Key Responsibilities: Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and overseeing retail construction projects. Supervise site activities, ensuring high standards of quality, health, and safety. Act as a liaison between clients, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery. Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation for projects. Attend site meetings and prepare progress reports for senior management. Learn and take on increasing responsibility for project management tasks with the goal of progressing into a standalone Project Manager role. Qualifications & Experience Required: Experience in construction, ideally as a Site Manager or in a similar supervisory role. Strong understanding of construction processes, health and safety, and quality standards. A proactive attitude with the ambition to progress into project management. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide. Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
