We now have an early career project management opportunity to join Amentum as an Assistant Project Manager. The role will require the individual to work with minimal day to day supervision on the client's site looking after packages of work as directed by the Senior Project Manager responsible for the delivery of contracted scope. The individual will be required to undertake training and assessment in order to carry out activities on the client's site associated with modification and/or replacement of existing infrastructure. Initially, the role will be to undertake tasks to support site establishment and enabling works for a significant new build project liaising between the main project office and satellite office based at the client's location. A significant part of the role will be to build strong relationships with the client organization in order to facilitate efficient project delivery that is in accordance with the client's local procedures. There will be an occasional requirement to travel to meet project demands, but the role will be primarily based in Warrington. Note: The project is still in the design phase; therefore, there will be good development opportunities on offer over the lifecycle of the project. Responsibilities include:

Supporting the delivery of to schedule, agreed budget and quality requirements of the project deliverables (or part of), usually via a multi-functional Integrated Project Team (IPT). Supporting the delivery of their area/scope of work in analysing, progress chasing or providing underpinning or summary analysis to support informed decision making. Supporting the exchanges of relevant and timely information to support successful delivery. Supporting in the capture, analysis, and testing of the documented stakeholder statements via requirements capture, configuration control and validation/verification. Supporting in the determination of the optimum solution through optioneering and problem solving to satisfy agreed requirements, by using all the available tools and resources. Supporting the PM/SPM at the Project Performance Accountability Meetings with the IPT to ensure the delivery of accurate and timely Project Reports to required high quality. Supporting the PM/SPM in monitoring and holding Leads to account for actual and forecast progress. Supporting the IPT to establish a fully costed schedule of work against a scope-based schedule baseline. Supporting Risk, Issues and Opportunity management, proactively and continually contributing to their identification and utilising the tools and systems to ensure they are constantly re-evaluated and mitigated. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong organizational skills Currently hold SC or prepared to go through the SC process. Amentum are an equal opportunities employer.
