About the opportunity: We are looking for a Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team and perform the following: Procurement Support: Help manage the procurement process by assisting with tender evaluations and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors. Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain. Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Contracts Managers and Site Agents regarding price, proven history, availability etc. Notify in writing both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors in a timely manner. Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account. Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations. About the benefits and rewards: The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to 35k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits. About the requirements: Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management preferred. Ability to work on own as well as part of a team Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines. IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems.
