PSR Solutions are working with an established client within the Civil Engineering Sector to recruit an Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor to Join their Commercial team on a permanent basis. This role with be based in the Midlands and will involve work within Residential groundworks Projects. Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities Assisting Surveyors to perform the closeout process, ensuring all contract terms are met and payments are verified. Work with the project team to evaluate the impact of budget changes. Ensuring all commercial accountabilities are undertaken in a timely manner, with a high degree of accuracy and measure. Assisting Surveyors in preparing and reviewing tenders with estimators and assisting with understanding the client's requirements to offer value engineering. Review and validate weekly cost monitors, comparing forecasted costs with actual costs. Undertake site visits to administer the contract in line with project progress. Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor Requirements BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar commercial related course Highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with large data sets Ideally 6-18 months experience, although may consider graduates Residential Groundworks background Ideally Professional membership of appropriate body Good data interrogation skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills Valid driving licence Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor Benefits Salary - 25,000 - 40,000 DOE Based in Midlands Company pension 30 days holiday + Bank holidays Bonus Scheme If you are interested in this Assistant / Trainee Quantity Surveyor role, please apply or contact
