Assistant Quantity Surveyor
to join a Tier 1 contractor working on a major marine project based in Leiston. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to contribute to a high-profile and technically challenging project in the marine sector.
About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the financial and contractual aspects of this significant marine project, ensuring cost control and efficient budget management throughout the project's lifecycle. Proficiency in Excel and cost management is essential, and experience working on marine projects is highly desired, making this an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with relevant expertise.
Responsibilities for Assistant Quantity Surveyor: Supporting the management and control of project costs and budgets Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts using advanced Excel skills Helping administer contracts in compliance with NEC or other relevant frameworks Collaborating with the project team to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery Conducting regular site visits to assist with progress monitoring and cost tracking Supporting the preparation and negotiation of final accounts
Requirements for Assistant Quantity Surveyor: Proven experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, ideally within the marine or civils sector Proficient in Excel, with strong skills in cost control and management Knowledge of contract administration, including NEC frameworks Excellent communication and analytical skills Experience working on marine projects is highly desired
