Daniel Owen are currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor within Stratford-Upon-Avon for a permanent placement.

The Role Due to continued growth, our client are seeking a proactive and professional Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Stratford-upon-Avon. In this role, you will support the commercial management function by providing timely and efficient assistance. Our client is looking for someone who is well-organised, capable of prioritising tasks, and can effectively manage workloads to meet deadlines.

The Client Our client's contract covers over 17,000 properties across multiple regions, including Stratford-upon-Avon, Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Bedford. The scope of work includes Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works, and Re-Roofing. Duties & Responsibilities As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with senior commercial team members to ensure that commercial controls are implemented and adhered to, securing the full entitlement through the contract. You will collaborate with both the commercial and operational teams to negotiate with partners and optimise the commercial aspects of the supply chain. Your goal will be to establish beneficial, long-term relationships with preferred suppliers, ensuring flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.

What You Will Need Essential Criteria: Strong data interrogation skills Proficient in Excel (including V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, and formula development) Excellent communication skills Previous experience with Schedule of Rates Experience in site measurement Desirable Criteria: Recent QS degree or equivalent training Experience in Management Accounts Exposure to commercial contracting Benefits Competitive salary 25 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off 26 weeks full-pay maternity leave 8 weeks full-pay paternity leave Discounted gym memberships at national and local gyms Up to £3,000 colleague referral fee Additional benefits including dental care, private healthcare, cycle-to-work scheme, mobile phone provider discounts, and more.
