Wales We are currently recruiting on behalf of a major civil engineering contractor who is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to work on a key rail project within the business, based in Swansea. Candidate Profile: Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar preferred Experience working with a main contractor on civil engineering projects Good, Solid understanding of the NEC form of contract Forward-thinking attitude to achieve best results Roles & Responsibilities: Support the project team in all Commercial matters Assist and manage various key sub-contract packages Assist the procurement process to maximize profit and help ensure subcontract orders are placed on time and in accordance with the company policy. Be aware of the contractual requirements of the project. Act in the best commercial interests at all times. To act professionally at all times. Work with and develop the trainee surveyor on the project if applicable
