We're looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our project team based in Crawley, Sussex.

Location : Crawley, Sussex - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract : Permanent, Full-Time

What will you be responsible for?

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering a multi-million pound scheme.

Your day to day will include:

Organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.

Under the supervision of a senior team member, assessing returns from sub-contractors and awarding work packages.

Assisting the Senior Q.S / Managing Q.S in monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)

Carrying out site measurements of completed work to assess sub contractor applications.

Carrying out commercial administration as required to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reports.

What are we looking for?

This role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you have:

Ideally you will have experience from a similar role within the construction industry and have worked within the Main Contracting environment, you will demonstrate excellent communication skills and sound understanding of safe site operations. You will have influencing skills giving the ability to build relationships with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

NEC contract experience essential

Relevant Construction Qualification (Degree) or Technical Trade

Strong IT Literacy

Have experience working on high value construction projects
