ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the most well-known and loved farm shops in the UK. Having operated for over 20 years the Daylesford Farm Shop and the stunning offering is the cornerstone of the Cotswold site and is a vibrant and fast paced part of the business..

SALARY: 27500 - 34000 DOE + Tronc
HOURS: Full Time - 40H - Available 5 days out of 7 (weekends required) / Early Shift 6.30am Start / Late Shift 20.30pm Finish

Responsibilities

Product

  • To drive product sales by leading and maintaining a commercial sampling plan
  • To share knowledge of the Farm and what we do when conversing with customers
  • To be an ambassador of product quality
  • To champion full shelves, fixed merchandising, and appropriate POS
  • To develop team product knowledge

SERVICE

  • To champion active engagement with customers with a proactive attitude to approach
  • To use your knowledge of Daylesford products to develop sales + educate customers
  • Ensure every customer receives the best possible customer service across the store
  • To champion swift, efficient, knowledgeable and engaging service, ensuring store compliance with retail standards document
  • To be solution-driven for both team members and customers
  • To follow the company complaints procedure to ensure customer complaints satisfactorily

OPERATIONS

  • To assist Retail Manager to maintain a safe and beautifully presented workplace, ensuring we are fully compliant with H&S regulations
  • To participate in opening/closing procedures of the store
  • To ensure the daily banking and cash reconciliation is undertaken
  • To be responsible for all due diligence and score >90% in all audits

NUMBERS

  • To support in managing the retail operation effectively to maximise sales
  • To manage the retail ordering effectively to ensure minimum waste with full availability
  • To ensure all retail stock and till processes are adhered to ensuring minimum variance between actual and book counts
  • To grow retail sales
  • To manage the rota effectively to deliver target wage cost


PEOPLE

  • To engage the team in the weekly targets and deliver agreed basket spend and transaction targets to deliver target sales
  • To complete all People admin and processes for the team in a timely manner
  • Ensure a smooth and structured onboarding for your new TMs, supporting Team Member Trainers with 4WTP
  • Delegate tasks to the team to ensure the smooth running of the department
  • To recruit the best people for the right job role
  • To develop, train and coach your team through performance review and personalised learning & development
  • Ensure staff complete all necessary mandatory training
  • To bring fun into the workplace and ensure a happy, motivated, and focused team


Skills You Will Bring

  • Retail Management or Team Leader experience - Proven experience in leading teams and overseeing daily retail operations to achieve business goals and maintain smooth store functions.
  • Experience within a luxury retailer - Background in working for high-end or luxury retail brands, understanding the importance of exceptional customer service and maintaining brand standards.
  • Sustainability - Deep enthusiasm for the environment, with a focus on sustainable practices.
  • Great Salesperson - Strong ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and drive sales through effective communication and product knowledge.
  • Excellent Leader and Team Manager - Skilled in motivating, guiding, and managing a team, ensuring everyone works toward common goals and personal growth.
  • Organised - Highly structured and efficient in planning, time management, and overseeing store operations to ensure maximum productivity."
