This role is an exciting position sitting within the core function of the technical team, reporting directly to the Technical Manager. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career with the end goal of becoming Technical Manager.

Responsibilities:

You will directly manage the Quality team. Part of the technical team, leading and supporting with external visits such as BRC and retailers. Deputise for the Technical Manager in their absence. Liaise between departments to ensure that the site is working to all customer and external requirements. Drive improvements within technical and quality to ensure that targets are met. Maintain relationships with existing customers and suppliers. Report directly to the Technical Manager and support where required to do so. Oversee the site hygiene function.

Requirements:

Strong understanding and previous experience of working with BRC and retailer standards. Previous experience leading and developing your own team. Knowledge of HACCP. BRC or Internal Auditing qualification. Degree in food science or relevant field. Strong communication and leadership skills.

Salary:

£40,000-£50,000 (Dependent on experience)
