A new opportunity available for an Assistant Technical Manager!

Working closely with the Head of Technical, your role will be a key driver of technical standards across the business, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and leading training initiatives to foster a culture of high standards in food safety and quality and continuous improvement. In addition, you'll work closely with your stakeholders, third parties and a strong support to the New Product Development (NPD) with technical guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Quality and Compliance:

Oversee food safety compliance across the business, ensuring adherence to standards such as HACCP, BRC and third party accreditations. Identify and implement opportunities for improving processes and product quality across operations.

Training and Leadership: Develop and deliver effective training programs to embed a culture of food safety and technical excellence and continuous improvement. Lead by example, promoting best practices and accountability at all levels.

Client and Innovation Support: Collaborate with stakeholders, third parties/customers to address technical queries and ensure satisfaction. Work closely with the NPD team, providing technical expertise during product development and reviewing specifications and processes to meet customer requirements.

Experience: Demonstrable experience in a technical or quality management role within the UK food and beverage industry. In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and compliance frameworks (HACCP/BRC).

Skills: A strong eye for detail and analytical mindset, with the ability to problem-solve effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with your teams, customers, and stakeholders. Great organisation skills and adaptable, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
