Employee working groups The role… We are currently recruiting a Senior Building Surveyor to join our Cambridge office. The role will involve project and professional consultancy to both public and private sector clients. Responsibilities include: Act as building surveyor on a variety of project and professional services projects from inception to completion, liaising with team members and others as necessary. Manage similar works undertaken by junior colleagues to ensure quality and timeliness of service provided to clients. Manage own workload and report to team lead and office Partner on financial forecasting and progress of commissions. Continually improve own profitability by managing time and resources allocated to projects. Understand client expectations and development of the brief. Liaise with other consultants to ensure fully integrated production of documentation. Liaise with all necessary authorities in relation to the work. Attend site for meetings to understand and clearly define clients’ expectations. Market the services and the Practice to new and existing clients. Prepare and contribute toward fee bids relevant to building surveying and multi-disciplinary projects. Essential skills, experience, and attributes… Good standard of academic qualification and education. MRICS or MAPM qualification. Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. Enthusiasm to network, promote the practice as well as winning and retaining clients. Strong commercial attitude with aspirations for progression.
