Our client is a successful Civil and Structural design Consultancy with multiple design offices across the UK. They are currently seeking an Associate Civil Engineer to join their team. As an Associate Civil Engineer, you will support and lead the team to ensure technical and commercial targets are met. A forward-thinking Associate Civil Engineer will lead and deliver innovative projects while promoting the company to existing and prospective clients, thereby driving success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop concept designs and actively involve yourself in all projects under your direction.

Produce high-quality designs for feasibility, costing, and construction purposes, including highways, drainage, street works, public works, SUDS, building drainage, and utilities coordination/diversion of services as required by clients.

Influence development and infrastructure master-planning using knowledge of relevant legislation and design standards.

Lead teams to assist with consultancy guidance, feasibility, outline, and detailed design.

Undertake specification and coordination of thorough site investigations, complete inspections, and solve potential issues.

Manage project cost-control and compile invoices accurately and timely.

Plan and manage project resources under your supervision.

Supervise staff and provide pro-active problem-solving advice.

Mentor employees under your direction effectively.

Support Senior Team Members in resource management for successful outcomes.

Represent the company at client and design team meetings as required.

Assist in recruitment, retention, and management of staff to ensure successful outcomes for clients/customers.

Develop realistic and competitive fee proposals for future work.

Contribute to business development activities, including attendance at events and production of marketing materials.

Engage in Continuing Professional Development and maintain CPD records as per the Institution of Civil Engineers' requirements.

Software Capabilities:

Proficient in AutoCAD 2D Drafting, PDS Site Developer / Civil 3D, Flow / Micro-drainage, TEDDS, and other industry-recognised software.

Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project Management Software.

Minimum Requirements:

Chartered Membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers is preferred.

Support for progressing Professional Accreditation will be considered for suitable candidates.
