We are seeking an experienced and successful fundraising professional to join our Development Team as Associate Director, Major Gifts and Patrons. This vital role will lead a team in raising over £7 million per year from major donors and patrons in support of RBG Kew’s work. You will have built up significant experience in fundraising from Major Donors and Patrons, with a proven track record in securing six and seven figure gifts, leading patrons and giving programmes, and a demonstrable record of meeting challenging fundraising targets. You will have experience of line-management, and the ability to lead a team. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver Kew’s Major Donor and Patrons fundraising strategy, playing a key role in delivering the Development Directorate’s ambitious income growth strategy to more than double income by 2030, working closely with counterparts in Principal Gifts, Trusts and Foundations, Individual Giving, Legacies and Commemorative, Corporate Partnerships and Development Operations to significantly grow philanthropic income for Kew. About You Our ideal candidate will have a passion for securing major gifts through face-to-face fundraising, enjoy strategic leadership and managing a team, and an enthusiasm for Kew’s role as a global conservation organisation. A strategic and motivated fundraiser, you will have experience of strategic planning, managing a portfolio of philanthropists, building strong relationships with supporters, creating engaging supporter groups, and developing creative and compelling funding proposals.
