Ackerman Pierce is actively seeking an Assistant Director of Finance to join their team within London. This exciting opportunity, initially for a 6-month term, comes with the potential for extension based on performance and internal circumstances.
LOCAL AUTHORITY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Duties for role
Supporting the Executive Director of Investment and Innovation in ensuring high quality financial administration and stewardship throughout the Council.
As a member of the Finance Leadership Team, work with the S151 officer, wider leadership team, CMT, Members and senior officers to develop the vision and values for the council.
To be responsible for the delivery of that vision through sound financial management in the Council.
Number of staff: Approximately 40 including, plus contract management of external audit, systems provider, etc.
Budget responsibility:
Direct: Service Budget - c 5m
Indirect: Council's gross expenditure - 982m
