Our Future Leadership Structure will see our clinical teams working more closely with partners at place level alongside strengthening clinical and professional leadership. We are also developing a clinical transformation programme alongside our partners to enhance the clinical outcomes our service users experience as well as continuing to improve experience of care.

The role will work across all 5 localities within NSFT with a focus on the Crisis pathway working alongside existing substantive Locality Based Associate Directors of Operations and with the leads from the Trust Transformation Team to help deliver a high quality consistent clinical operating model of care across the organisation. The successful candidate will be expected to help facilitate operational changes that have an immediate impact on patient care.

Main duties of the job The Associate Director of Operation will work closely with the Associate Director of Nursing to ensure that high quality care is delivered within the Locality services and providing professional leadership to operational colleagues across the locality.

You will promote a culture of learning and openness and ensure clinical staff have the knowledge, capability, systems and support to deliver evidence based care and embed lessons learned in practice for the improvement of patient experience.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential

GMC registered with licence to practice or working at a Consultant/Speciality Doctor level within another clinical discipline Further theoretical training & experience to master's level equivalent

Desirable

Postgraduate business/medical management qualification

Experience Essential

Experience of involving service users and carers in the development and improvement of services Experience in a clinical management role Experience of shaping and implementing strategy and delivering long term transformation that delivers lasting change and improvement

Skills Essential

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with well-developed negotiating and influencing skills to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders and staff including service users, carers and the media including contentious situations Proven leadership skills record of achievement as a clinical leader

Knowledge Essential

In depth understanding of the NHS and the current environment in which it operates Comprehensive demonstrable understanding of the current change agenda within mental health
