Associate Director of Performance

·
Full time
This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).

Do you want to work in an organisation that holds its staff and patients at the centre of everything it does? That looks to develop our staff to support the Trust to deliver the best possible service to our patients.

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to recruit an ambitious and driven individual to the role of Associate Director of Performance. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled individual to join the Trust and help improve the service that we provide to our patients.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Associate Director of Performance will be the specialist lead on performance delivery across the Trust. As the Trust looks to improve its performance against all metrics, this role is key in the creation of realistic trajectories and monitoring the delivery against them.

We are seeking an individual who can demonstrate both a high degree of analytical proficiency as well as interpersonal skills. You will be able to understand and interpret large data sets, highlighting key areas of future improvements and risk, as well as acting as a critical friend to support operational teams. They will need to have a working knowledge of RTT, Cancer, and Urgent Care Standards and maintain a watching brief on any future changes.

Key Responsibilities:

Specialist lead on performance delivery across the Trust. Responsible for the Trust-wide monitoring of all constitutional standards (Elective, urgent care, diagnostics and cancer). Responsible for the development of performance trajectories to meet national improvement targets and monitoring performance against them. Managing the formal reporting of performance to the ICB and NHS England and other external bodies through nationally defined systems, ensuring all data is timely and appropriately quality assured. Act on behalf of the Chief Operating Officer at system and regional meetings and ensure that all performance-related information is provided as required. Participate in the Tactical On Call Rota as part of the senior leadership team.

Our vision is to provide outstanding care for every patient. Patient care is at the heart of what we do at our three sites: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital. Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides medical and surgical services to a population of approximately 600,000 people across Hampshire and parts of West Berkshire.

Our cultural ambition is to have a culture that places people at the heart of all we do, where we all belong, and where learning, improvement, and excellence thrive.

We provide specialist services to people across the UK and internationally. We are one of only two centres in the UK treating pseudomyxoma peritonei (a rare form of abdominal cancer) and we are leaders in the field of tertiary liver cancer and colorectal cancer.

The trust employs more than 9,000 staff and has a turnover of over £500 million a year. As a Foundation Trust, we are directly accountable to our members through the governors. The Council of Governors represent the interests of their constituencies and influence the future plans of the Foundation Trust.
