Associate Director- Project Controls Technologist

You are a project professional with experience on major capital programmes or large portfolios in the infrastructure, real estate, energy & natural resources or defence market sectors. Our clients are ‘project enterprises’, invested in the delivery of a broad range of physical assets e.g. railways, airports (infrastructure), data centres, manufacturing facilities (real estate), offshore wind turbines, mines (energy & natural resources), naval ships (defence). You want to transform our clients’ approach to project-programme-portfolio management (P3M) by implementing digital solutions. You will combine your knowledge of establishing project ‘ways of working’ with your awareness of P3M solutions to maximise successful outcomes and investment returns for our clients. We are seeking to recruit talented individuals at consultant/ senior consultant/ principal consultant grades, who feel their experience and capabilities could support digital transformations for our clients by implementing and integrating applications and data to support robust project management and project controls. As part of our team you will be expected to: Assess current challenges and determine client requirements; Implement or refine established P3M methodologies, processes, tools and systems that enables the client to achieve desired project outcomes; Embed changes in client enterprises by supporting stakeholder engagement and business readiness activities; Continuously improve our advisory services; Produce documents/ deliverables and reports to support findings and recommendations across various stages of client engagements; Work within diverse and multi-disciplinary teams representing Turner & Townsend at both client sites and virtually; Participate in various business generation activities such as bids, proposals etc. and work closely alongside senior management and the wider Turner & Townsend team; Support marketing and social media campaigns (employee advocacy) where appropriate; The ideal candidate will have experience and qualifications in line with the below, but we are open to enthusiastic and ambitious individuals from all backgrounds who want to pursue a successful consultancy career, keen on enabling clients to achieve successful outcomes. Graduate calibre with relevant industry experience; Experience in the establishment or transformation of project ‘ways of working’; Experience in the specification or implementation of project controls or P3M technology; Experience of major capital programmes or large portfolios; Familiarity with core project controls functions (scope, schedule, cost, risk, performance reporting); Experience of business capability establishment or change; APM, PMI or similar certification or equivalent experience would be advantageous; Key expected behaviours and ways of working: Take personal responsibility to complete actions and resolve issues; Able to build strong, professional internal and client relationships; Possess an analytical mindset; Able to express ideas with clarity, sticking to the key points; Able to listen effectively to understand wider issues and the impact on self and others; Able to show clear determination to achieve goals that have been set; Able to remain resilient despite obstacles, disappointments or challenges at work; Our inspired people share our vision and mission.
