: Conduct market analysis, due diligence, and develop Requests for Proposal (RFx). Lead competitive pricing and cost analysis, financial evaluations, and long-term planning. Manage ongoing supplier relationships and implement risk management strategies As the lead procurement member at the NC Tier 3 level daily meeting, your role will involve providing strategic direction, managing procurement initiatives, delivering insights based on data analysis, and offering advice on supplier risks and opportunities Negotiate the execution of contracts with strategic suppliers & service providers; work with internal stakeholders & legal team to communicate & execute contract details Develop and build strong relationships with key suppliers and measure suppliers performance based on quality, delivery, cost, and service level. Leverage these metrics to drive site improvements Serve as the primary point of escalation for purchasing issue resolution. Proactively identify potential disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure continuity of supply Responsible for sourcing direct and indirect materials, capital equipment, and related services to support both cGMP and non-GMP manufacturing operations. Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, and MS&T to assess the quality capabilities of suppliers, ensuring adherence to defined standards Qualifications
: Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years’ experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing or Supply Chain. Prior cGMP experience in biopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, and/or medical device industry is highly preferred Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field Experience working with MRP or procurement systems (
experience with SAP or Coupa a plus
) Strong process-mapping and process-improvement skills with close attention to detail High degree of customer focus and demonstrated collaboration in a team environment Supplier negotiation experience Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize, balance, and manage multiple efforts Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey strategies and results to a diverse audience. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Able to travel when needed
