We are seeking a passionate and experienced Associate Director to join the Technical Development team and lead the successful delivery of projects that set the benchmark for excellence in industrial and logistics construction. About the Role As the Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of pre-construction and construction activities. You will oversee projects ranging from Data Centre Builds (Powered Shells) to light industrial and logistics buildings, ensuring their completion on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Your expertise will support every stage of project delivery, from legal, costing, and procurement, to managing third-party collaborators and mitigating risks. You’ll also be instrumental in ensuring our sustainability objectives are met while delivering projects tailored to market needs. Key Responsibilities: •Lead project management efforts to deliver high-quality serviced land plots. •Proactively identify and mitigate risks to protect the business from cost and schedule uncertainties. •Collaborate with Development Management colleagues on feasibility, planning, and design, ensuring seamless project execution. •Appoint and manage third-party design teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure project KPIs are met. •Act as a key liaison for customers, ensuring SEGRO remains the developer of choice. •Contribute to project briefs, viability cost projections, appraisals, and Board papers. What We’re Looking For: •Experience in project management, design, and construction within light industrial or logistics sectors, with a focus on Data Centre Builds. •Strong knowledge of construction techniques, design & build contracts, procurement, and CDM regulations. •Proven ability to manage and motivate external teams and contractors. •Creative problem-solving skills, with a resilient and proactive mindset. •Degree or professional qualification in construction or a related field. •Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with MS Project and familiarity with cost reporting or development appraisals is desirable.
