They are currently seeking an Associate Electrical Design Engineer with 10+ years of experience within the built environment to join their Glasgow office.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an engineer to help build up their own electrical team, contributing to their overall growth and success plans of the wider business. You will be given access to a variety of multi-million pound projects and will be working in an environment where you are able to develop both your technical and commercial skills.


Your New Role

You will join the team as an Associate Electrical, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading the Electrical team within the Glasgow office.
  • Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
  • Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems
  • Conducting site surveys, inspections and monitoring of siteworks.
  • Report and technical note writing.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes and standards.
  • Lead projects from a design and commercial perspective, dealing with budgets, timelines etc.
  • Contributing to the growth of the electrical team, including conducting candidate interviews.
  • Contributing toward business development and strategy.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within Electrical Building Services Design.
  • A Principal Engineer looking to move into an Associate role or an already existing Associate within a Building Services consultancy.
  • An excellent technical level with engineering softwares such as Amtech, Relux, Dialux, etc.
  • A detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work on your own as well as within a wider multidisciplinary team.
  • You must be eligible to obtain a security clearance due to MOJ/MOD contracts.
