An international law firm based in London is hiring for an Associate General Counsel (5+ PQE), focused on professional indemnity for their Office of General Counsel function. You will also get the chance to be involved in a broad range of risk and compliance related matters.
Responsibilities:
Assisting in the protection of the firm by procuring relevant insurance protection in various areas and liaising with brokers and insurers.
Ensuring that the firm complies with the relevant laws and regulations.
Assisting with queries which arise regarding the SRA Code, professional standards, best practice, and ethics.
Identifying and managing legal risks that the firm may face, and implementing strategies to mitigate those risks.
Assisting with the documentation surrounding a partner’s legal relationship to the firm on joining or other change.
Key skills:
Qualified lawyer (England & Wales), with at least 5 years’ PQE.
Training and experience gained at a leading international law firm.
A detailed knowledge of the SRA Handbook, especially the Code of Conduct.
Professional negligence experience as a fee earner ideal.
