Associate Medical Laboratory Technician
to join our core lab team in Birmingham, AL. This contract opportunity offers hands-on experience in hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation, working with advanced equipment like Beckman Coulter DXH, Iris, and Stago Body Fluid analyzers. What You’ll Do: Conduct routine medical laboratory tests critical for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. Set up, maintain, and clean lab equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Collect, analyze, and record test data to produce comprehensive reports using charts, graphs, and narratives. Analyze specimens to isolate and identify microorganisms, and consult with pathologists for abnormal findings. Ensure test results meet quality standards through precise analysis and reporting. Monday-Friday, day shift (5:00 AM - 1:30 PM), every third weekend What We’re Looking For: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to work independently and efficiently manage time. Knowledge of diagnostic and treatment techniques for human injuries and diseases. Ability to analyze and accurately document results. High school diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree in medical technology or vocational training is preferred. Experience:
