Associate / Principal Electrical Engineer - Plymouth

Principal or Associate Electrical Engineer sought in Plymouth. We are proud to be working alongside a highly renowned and passionate design consultancy specializing in Building Services as they expand their Engineering team in the South West, adding to the senior management team. Right now, our client is seeking a Senior character, ideally of an Associate or Principal level of experience, to join them as an Electrical Engineer. Required to possess relevant degrees; however, we are open to discussions with those holding equivalent M&E construction experience and varying qualifications or experience in M&E design.

Your new employer: Established over 70 years ago, our client is a renowned and decorated Design Consultancy working nationally, specializing in all aspects of M&E, Public Health & Sustainable Design services.

Daily Duties of an Electrical Engineer: Reporting to various Directors; responsible for resourcing within the electrical team. Managing a team of Engineers including Junior Engineers, Apprentices, and Graduates. Producing design deliverables (including drawings, specifications & reports). Checking calculations and production of detailed drawings to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project briefs, and customer requirements. Client-facing, making client presentations on selected projects. Plus, all traditional duties expected of a Senior / Associate Engineer.

What you’ll need to succeed as an Electrical Engineer: BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or relevant equivalent. Relevant professional affiliation / chartership (ERICS / IEng / CEng / MCIBSE etc). Demonstrating a minimum of 3 years’ Building Services design professional background. Understanding of commercial elements of projects. Experience in software design including IES, Revit or Hevacomp is highly desired but non-essential.

In return, we are offering an exciting prospect for the right individual to join an expanding team with this opportunity to take the lead as Associate Electrical Engineer. Packages are strongly dependent on experience and appear as highly competitive.
