The Mathematical Institute proposes to appoint an Associate Professor (or Professor) of Mathematical Finance from 1 September 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Fellowship by Special Election at Reuben College, under arrangements described in the attached job description. The University salary scale has a minimum point of £55,755 per annum. An allowance of £3,155 per annum would be payable upon award of Full Professor title. The Associate Professor will join a thriving research community of mathematicians at Oxford, at the world-leading Mathematical Institute. They will play a leading role in helping to build further collaborations across the global research community, in addition to engaging with outreach activities to support the department in achieving its strategic aim to improve the diversity of its undergraduate and postgraduate student body, and in particular its gender diversity. They will be responsible for carrying out, disseminating the results of, obtaining funding for, and supervising research at a high international standard in the field of Mathematical and Computational Finance and for teaching a range of topics in mathematics via lectures and classes. The successful candidate will have a PhD in mathematics or a closely related subject, and will be committed to improving diversity within the discipline. They will demonstrate the ability and/or potential to carry out research at a high international level in applied mathematics and to teach effectively across a range of topics in mathematics.
