Translational Medicine Key Responsibilities

To provide focused bioinformatics support to Research teams. Conducting bioinformatics analysis to draw insights from publicly available and experimental data generated by Research teams. Assist in the identification of publicly available genomic and transcriptomic datasets. Process these valuable datasets through proprietary analysis pipelines and align sample metadata to enable harmonisation across multiple studies. Develop apps and other tools which will provide scientists with the ability to easily view and integrate data from multiple sources. Involvement in our own in-house sequencing experiments, inclusive of experimental design, quality control and data analysis. Supporting management of analytical data. Maintaining and increasing technical knowledge in relevant fields through self-study, observation, attending relevant conferences and training courses. Maintaining accurate records of all work by completing documentation on time, following Company procedures. Operating in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety policies. Experience and Knowledge

Essential: Competent coding abilities in R/BioConductor or Python. Familiar with Linux OS and shell scripting bash. Proven programming ability. Presented detailed scientific findings and papers to internal and external audiences. Understanding of molecular biology, cell biology, immunology or related discipline. Must be able to communicate on a technical level with other scientists from unrelated disciplines. Self-motivated; demonstrated success in delivering assigned tasks according to timelines. Ability to think outside the box and problem-solve. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment as part of a motivated team. Desirable: Background in running NGS or single cell analysis pipelines. Experience in developing R Shiny apps. May have experience of developing databases, using SQL or similar, and pairing with a user-friendly interface. Deep understanding of immunotherapy in oncology. Worked and contributed actively within a diverse team environment. Education & Qualifications
